Breadcraft (BWL) established in the Wairarapa in 1942, is a fast-growing successful Bakery business producing Artisan & Baked products that our customers love.

The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to bring your experience & expertise to lead Breadcraft to greater levels of operational excellence.
  
You will take on a key leadership role with both operational and strategic responsibility. Heading up a team of six direct reports you will take on responsibility for leading a substantial production site and contribute to key decisions and leadership of the business as a key member of the SLT.
  
You will lead and improve manufacturing and operational performance through strong leadership and the Continuous Improvement of processes, systems, production efficiencies, people and innovation. You will enjoy working with a collaborative and visionary leadership team and enjoy a wide scope of responsibility across manufacturing, operations, HSE, Lean Manufacturing, people leadership, budgeting, planning, reporting and strategic decision-making and execution.
  
About you:
Having developed your skills & experience over the years working in a fast-paced FMCG or similar manufacturing environment, you will be a natural leader, a Health & Safety Champion, well organised, a clear communicator & be passionate about supporting your team to achieve wonderful things.
  
From your impressive experience base, you will be able to give strong examples of operational performance improvement & team development delivery, along with demonstrated experience in capital & process improvement and project management.

Group Financial Controller
  
The Group Financial Controller is responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions of the Evolution Healthcare Group including: preparing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to assist with performance management and strategic planning, maintaining a robust control environment to protect the financial resources of the Group, ensuring compliance with all reporting, tax and regulatory filing requirements, and providing leadership to the Evolution corporate team based in Wellington. 
  
Reporting to the CFO, this role will foster a highly collegial working approach with the CFO’s other direct reports.  The Group Financial Controller is also a trusted member of the wider Senior Management Team and in the discharge of their responsibilities, they will work closely with the other corporate functions (e.g., HR, IT, Quality and Risk, Marketing) as well as the business unit leads (COOs, Hospital GMs, Clinic Managers) and external advisers. 
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports for the individual business units and the consolidated group.
  • In collaboration with the Finance Business Partners, provide monthly analysis of the businesses performance to support the operational managers.
  • Responsible for preparing the Group Consolidated Financial Statements.
  • Responsible for managing the audit process and the relationship with the external auditors.
  • Lead the budget and reforecast processes with support from the Finance Business partners.
  • Ownership of the financial model and business plan spreadsheets and responsible for updates for actuals and revised budgets/forecasts.
  • Take a leading role with Treasury and Tax/ Compliance reporting requirements
  • Provide leadership to the team of direct and indirect reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the building of an effective team dynamic.

Success Criteria:

  • A qualified CA with 10+ years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen and judgement.
  • An effective communicator able to tailor their delivery to different audiences. Able to convey complex financial information accurately, clearly and in a way that aids interpretation and adds value.
  • A genuine leader; motivational, inspirational, leads by example.
  • Practical and able to move quickly with agility and accuracy. A willingness to pitch in to support direct reports and the wider finance team to ensure results are achieved.
  • A strong understanding of implementing processes and procedures that ensure analytical data is readily available to support the business and meet management requirements.
