As consumer demand grows their footprint in New Zealand and Australia continues to expand, we’re looking for an inspiring Head of Marketing to take this beloved brand into its next phase of growth in personal wash, skincare and haircare categories. The opportunity:
Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing, you’ll lead and scale Glow Lab’s brand, portfolio, and marketing performance across NZ and Australia. You will build awareness, drive penetration, strengthen category leadership, and unlock fresh growth opportunities across our key markets and channels.
You’ll own the brand, its architecture, visual identity, tone of voice, strategy, and how it shows up in grocery and pharmacy channels Trans-Tasman. This is a rare mix of big-picture brand leadership with a roll-your-sleeves-up, entrepreneurial energy. You’ll lead a talented marketing team of two, work cross-functionally with the wider business, and play a pivotal role in shaping Glow Lab’s innovation, category strategy, retailer presence, and customer experience.
What you’ll lead:
Brand & Portfolio Strategy
- Own and evolve the Glow Lab brand identity, architecture and positioning across categories and markets.
- Drive brand and category strategy, including meaningful expansion in Australia.
- Shape strategies that build relevance, distinction and long-term brand love.
Marketing Campaigns & Channels
- Lead compelling, insight-driven marketing campaigns with clear objectives and robust post-campaign reviews.
- Oversee all channels across retailer marketing, ATL, PR, events, digital and social ensuring strong partnerships and data-led optimisation.
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure investment drives strong ROI.
Innovation & Category Leadership
- Champion Glow Lab’s fast-follower innovation model bringing fresh, commercially sound NPD to life.
- Own the Stage & Gate process and lead the product review stage of S&OP.
- Use insights, shopper data and category trends to guide portfolio evolution and business strategy.
Retailer & Channel Partnership
- Support National Business Managers with impactful retailer presentations, reviews and category-led storytelling.
- Play a key role in Joint Business Planning and channel growth, particularly within pharmacy.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Collaborate across the business as the “voice of the consumer”, influencing decisions across Exec, MD, Board and cross-functional teams.
- Role model Glow Lab’s values, contributing to a positive, creative, entrepreneurial culture.
Key attributes we’re looking for:
- 10+ years in FMCG brand management and marketing people leadership.
- Proven success driving brand and portfolio growth in both NZ and Australia.
- Experience working closely with grocery and pharmacy channels (Foodstuffs, Woolworths ANZ, Coles, Chemist Warehouse preferred).
- A track record in NPD innovation, digital marketing, and retailer engagement.
- A design-led mindset with strong commercial and analytical chops.
- Confidence navigating an entrepreneurial business with pace, hands-on execution, and smart prioritisation.
- Experience leading small, capable teams and fostering capability growth.
