About the Role
A well established, market leading business is looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead their category team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing in Auckland, this is a genuine leadership role with influence across the business.
The role leads six Category Managers – from innovation and NPD through to range reviews, SKU rationalisation and margin management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead category management including range reviews and commercial performance
- Own the NPD pipeline and Stage Gate process across the full product lifecycle
- Translate data and market insights into category strategies that drive innovation and profitability
- Develop and coach a team of six Category Managers
- Drive SKU rationalisation, pricing strategy and margin optimisation
- Partner with internal stakeholders across the ANZ business and key external customer groups
Key Experience
This does not need to be a traditional category hire. Strong marketers with solid leadership and commercial credentials with a passion for data are encouraged to apply.
- 5+ years in marketing, category, brand or product management
- Proven people leader with experience developing high-performing teams
- Process and data driven; strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- End to end product lifecycle experience and familiarity with category reviews
- FMCG or product led environment experience highly regarded
