Join this highly successful NZ business with global presence! An excellent opportunity for a systems savvy payroll officer with a strong track record in continuous upgrades and process improvement.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage end-to-end Payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations and timely delivery.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers in each country; review and approve payroll outputs before final submission. 
  • Act as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions. This entails working directly with employees, HR, Finance and Senior Stakeholders. 
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality across systems. 
  • Prepare payroll journals and monthly reconciliations. Assist with audits, financial reporting, and year-end processes such as issuing tax certificates (e.g., IRDs, PAYEs, etc.). 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and implement improvements. 
  • Be an integral part of the Payroll/ HRIS systems migration process. 
  • Review payroll systems, recommend improvements, and drive efforts for automation and efficiency.

About you

You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll officer role or an accounting background. You will possess a process improvement mindset to challenge the current processes and be able to proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
