This is a unique opportunity to join a premium, PE backed New Zealand brand at a pivotal point in its international growth journey. As CFO, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping strategy, lifting performance, and driving transformation across core business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic finance, capital and operational budgeting, commercial advisory, and cost accounting
  • Drive robust financial controls, risk management, treasury, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee group reporting, financial performance tracking, and Board-level reporting
  • Ensure delivery of business growth, EBITDA, and cash flow performance
  • Direct procurement strategy including supplier performance and contracts
  • Shape and implement global strategies across Finance, IT, and Procurement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of six direct reports
  • Champion working capital efficiency, capital project evaluation, and insurance oversight

Core Competencies & Experience

  • CA/CPA qualified with tertiary degree in Accounting; Finance or Commercial Law highly regarded
  • Minimum 15 years’ senior financial leadership experience, ideally in a fast paced, global business
  • Proven commercial acumen and ability to partner across supply chain and executive leadership
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on delivery and team leadership capability
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and decision-making skills

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the NZ CFO, this newly elevated role leads performance and planning across the group. With six direct reports and ownership of finance support across Operations, Capital, IT, and corporate services, you’ll drive planning, performance, and compliance while partnering closely with the CEO, CFO, and the Finance Leadership Team.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive commercial performance across Operations, Corporate, and Commercial functions
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and 5-year strategic planning
  • Sign off business cases for major Capex, NPD, and M&A activity
  • Deliver accurate and timely management and statutory reporting
  • Lead and mentor a team across FP&A, reporting, and compliance
  • Oversee controls, compliance, internal audits, and finance system improvements
  • Embed a high-performance culture with strong team development
  • Partner with executive team on decision-making and performance visibility
  • Drive risk mitigation strategies, including FX and commodity risk
  • Optimise performance through shared services and group finance functions

  
What We’re Looking For:

  • CA/CPA or MBA-qualified finance leader
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies
  • Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Strong influencing skills and stakeholder management at executive level
  • Inspirational people leader with proven capability-building track record
  • Experience in large, complex or matrix organisations (FMCG preferred)
  • Advanced financial modelling and systems capability
