About the company

Our client is a proudly NZ based FMCG business operating across global markets. With a focus on quality, compliance, and growth, they are seeking a hands-on Logistics Manager to manage operations across New Zealand and Australian offices, and their global markets.

This is an Auckland-based role with close collaboration with the Australian office, offering the chance to lead a small operations team and helping to shape process, structure, and team culture.

The opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on role managing all aspects of import, export and domestic stock movements. You will lead the team, oversee documentation, coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and 3PLs – all to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.

You’ll also play a key role in building structure and culture within the team – mentoring staff, improving workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement projects. This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day logistics operations.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience in freight forwarding/shipping/import/export logistics
  • Solid understanding of logistics documentation and compliance
  • Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams and with external partners
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Leadership experience and the readiness to manage a small team and foster team cohesion

What’s in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing FMCG business. You’ll lead a small, engaged team while helping to build structure, processes and a supportive culture. The role offers variety, hands-on responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact across a trans-Tasman operation.
