The Beauty Collective designs and distributes some of the world’s leading beauty and personal care products including Mae, Formation, Milani Cosmetics, TRUYU and Pure Paw Paw (to name a few). They distribute their bands within multiple channels including grocery, pharmacy and retail and their stockists include Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, Farmers and The Warehouse.
The Beauty Collective have also been creating and curating private label brands since 2001, partnering with clients on innovative ideas and practical solutions.

About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and support to the sales and marketing team during this exciting phase of growth. Specifically, this role will:
- Be a part of a high performing SLT, supporting the CEO in the achievement of business goals and objectives both in New Zealand and Australia.
- Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and professional development to the sales and marketing team, and continuously develop the team through training/coaching and performance management.
- Develop marketing strategy covering each brand and channel in line with company budgets.
- Guide and mentor the marketing team on trade marketing and brand initiatives.
- Lead, develop and implement sales strategy with a core focus on key accounts.
- Establish and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Continuously monitor market trends and have an up to date understanding of competitor knowledge.
- Continue to refine the multi-channel sales framework across the business with a focus on building a high performing sales culture.
- Identify new and existing business opportunities to grow The Beauty Collective’s footprint, promoting strong client engagement, retention, and attraction strategies.
- Report to and advise the CEO on key commercial issues/risks in a timely manner and escalate issues where required.
- Work to budgets and report sales and marketing progress to management on a regular basis, including presenting to the Board at Board meetings.
Key requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales or Marketing or a related field.
- 5+ years in senior Sales and/or Marketing roles with a strong commercial focus.
- 5+ years engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and stay focused in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
- The ability to motivate, challenge and develop and high performing and collaborative team.
