About Dan
As a Senior Consultant in the Supply Chain team at Hunter Campbell, I specialise in the recruitment of permanent and interim procurement and commercial professionals across a broad range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications/technology, FMCG, manufacturing, and utilities. With over five years’ experience recruiting in this space, I’ve developed a genuine interest in the procurement profession and a strong appreciation for the value great procurement professionals can deliver both in cost and driving total cost of ownership improvements.
I’ve built partnerships with leading industry bodies such as CIPS and PEF and enjoy staying connected to the profession’s ongoing evolution. I take a long-term, partnership-based approach to recruitment working closely with clients to develop a deep understanding of their needs and supporting candidates with market insights and honest advice to help shape their careers.
During my time at a procurement consultancy, I worked closely with procurement professionals to build multidisciplinary teams tasked with delivering key strategic outcomes ranging from enterprise-wide cost reduction and procurement excellence programmes to high-value sourcing initiatives. This hands-on experience provided me with a practical, insider’s view of the procurement function and deepened my understanding of its impact. It also shaped my approach to recruitment, allowing me to go beyond what’s written on a CV to identify genuine capability, cultural fit, and long-term potential.

Life Outside the Office
Outside of work, most of my time is spent chasing after my two energetic young boys with my partner which keeps me on my toes! I’m a big sports fan, especially football, and proudly (if sometimes painfully) support Manchester United. I also enjoy snowboarding and playing golf (though I’ll admit my golf game is very much a work in progress). Originally from the UK, I’ve always had a passion for travel and have been fortunate to explore a wide range of countries, including living in both Canada and Australia before settling in New Zealand over a decade ago.
