About Katherine
I am a specialist recruiter focused on recruiting permanent, temporary and contract planning roles within the planning and purchasing area of the supply chain and I have experience in working with an assortment of small, medium and large enterprises throughout New Zealand.
Being a specialist recruiter dedicated to this area means I truly understand what planning entails within different industries. I can confidently discuss and provide advice to candidates on their careers and engage in robust discussions with clients about resourcing their planning functions.
I am a confident communicator and build and maintain internal and external relationships with ease. Over the years, I have built a reputation as a trusted and effective recruitment partner who works quickly and at pace with regular updates for both candidates and clients.
With a BEd(Tchg) from Auckland University, my background is in Primary School teaching. In teaching, you have a number of personalities, profiles and situations to navigate. I find recruitment has many crossovers with teaching, there are always a lot of plates to spin! I believe it is important that you understand the candidate’s technical capabilities as well as the soft skills they bring to the table, so you can best match them with the right company and the right role.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting with both candidates and clients and getting a really good understanding of what they are about. Gathering an excellent understanding of candidates’ profiles as well as our clients’ driving factors enables me to find the best fit for both.
Specialisations
Permanent, temporary and contract roles in the planning and purchasing areas of the Supply Chain. (S&OP Specialists, Demand Planners, Supply Planners, Material Planners, Master Schedulers, Production Planners, Inventory Planners, VMIs, Supply Chain Coordinators and Purchasing Professionals from officers right through to managers).
Life Outside the Office
I thrive on a busy schedule and in weekends, you will often find me enjoying outdoor activities—whether it’s walking or running on pavements, hiking, catching waves, mountain biking, or playing netball with my College Rifles team. I’m partial to getting stuck into arts and crafts too – jewellery making being my favourite. In recent years, I spent some time with the Army Reserves in 3/6 Battalion. I still have some involvement in the Education space and sit on a Board for a local primary school. Time with friends and family in amongst all of this is very special too!
