An opportunity has come up for a passionate junior warehouse manager to lead their team with a key focus on leadership, process and continuous improvement.
About the opportunity:
Warehouse based, 4-day working week (Tuesday-Friday 10/4 shifts) managing inventory and leading a team to success.
As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the inwards process including receipting and tracking ingredients and materials from the time they arrive at the site, to the time they are packed for distribution.
You will utilise direct reports and people from the wider team in aim to achieve 100% DIFOT each week.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that Food Safety Standards are complied with and reported on and lead by example in how to achieve the best safety practice.
A key component of the role will be to optimise inventory control procedures in and around receipting inwards and the storing of products until needed. With a JIT model, you will be required to know where the product is at all times, including stock in transit from suppliers.
You will be responsible for the internal supply of ingredients and materials to achieve the weekly production plan.
This role will see you managing a team in a way that encourages teamwork, cooperation and productivity. You will coach and mentor teammates to meet/exceed expectations. You will initially have 8 direct reports across 2 shifts and a number of indirect reports.
High attention to detail for administrative duties, team leading experience and inventory management within an operational warehouse are all necessities for the successful candidate.
