The Role:
The Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in providing technical financial management for the Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller the Senior Financial Accountant will also lead a team of 3 and be responsible for:
- Providing effective leadership to the Assistant Accountants and Administration Assistant.
- Co-ordination, ownership and completion of the month end accounting and reporting processes.
- Administering leases for Group properties.
- Managing the full process of accounting of property transactions.
- End to end responsibility and oversight for the accounting and reporting of all New Zealand hedging activities and costing rates.
- Cash flow management.
- Working across the business to support delivery of forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
- Tax calculations and compliance GST, FBT, Income Tax calculations, IRD returns and payments to meet deadlines.
The Candidate:
CA (or equivalent) qualified, ideally you will have financial accounting experience in a medium or large corporation and /or 4+ years in a large CA practice. The successful candidate will be passionate about finance, possess excellent communication skills and be a strong leader.
