Established in 2021, our client is a large player in the New Zealand retail space. With their products priced competitively and having a large product offering, they are continuing to grow at a rapid rate with more and more stores being opened around the country.
About the role:
With our clients footprint in the New Zealand market growing rapidly, there is a need to invest within their Supply Chain capability. To do this, an opportunity has arisen and they are looking to increase the headcount and bring in a Demand and Supply planner that can provider support to the Supply Chain Manager in and around setting up firmer systems and processes for long term forecasting and supply planning activity. This will aid them in achieving higher levels of serviceability and stock-outs.
Being in the retail space, our client works with a large number of distributors across ANZ. This opportunity will see you using your experience particularly in Demand Planning to better prepare suppliers with long-term forecast needs. Experience in the retail space is desirable however the biggest requirement is that you have demand planning experience with a very large SKU count. Our clients’ current SKU count sits at 15,000 +.
This is a busy and fast-moving role. Being in the retail space there are numerous promotional and seasonal activities happening throughout the year that require tactical planning behind them. This role will see you working with internal stakeholders such as category buyers (who work on ranging for their categories) and external stakeholders such as distributors and 3PLs.
About you:
Experience in Demand Planning is a must. You will be experienced in working with a high SKU count and a proactive and collaborative team player. Experience in navigating new systems and using Excel to extract and manipulate data is crucial.
