About the Role:
Based in East Auckland, this is an 8 month FTC role. We are seeking a Demand Planner to manage demand planning for the Grocery Channel. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing monthly and weekly forecasts at the SKU level, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date information is provided to the Supply Planning team. You will also be tasked with identifying and addressing any supply risks to optimise service levels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise demand planning processes for the Grocery Channel.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum customer service.
- Develop and analyse demand plans using forecasting tools, market intelligence, and statistical models.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, ensuring timely actions are taken to address overselling or underselling.
- Review and adjust forecasts for new product launches post-launch.
- Drive continuous performance improvements and support Sales & Operations Planning initiatives.
About You:
- Technically savvy – experience running reports, Excel trackers, and using SAP/APO (advantageous).
- Strong influencing, communication, and negotiation skills to manage and influence stakeholders.
- Experience in FMCG environments.
- Focus on demand planning, with less emphasis on supply planning.
- Available for an 8-month contract with an immediate start.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with customer and business strategies.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in demand planning tools and forecasting.
