The Role
In this newly created, Senior Financial Accountant role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company procedures and principles. Working closely with Senior Management, you will have huge exposure in this role to deliver robust information and data.
  
This is a succession planning hire for the Financial Controller, therefore offering a clear, direct route for progression and development. 
  
Role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Operating and improving processes supporting the timely and accurate monthly and annual financial accounting outputs
  • Support the 3 year planning, annual budgeting and year end audit processes
  • Lead monthly operating expenses accounts for review and cost centre reports
  • Lead month end journals
  • Monthly GST & FBT returns
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset purchases register, resolving any issues
  • Support variance analysis and resolving discrepancies in monthly accounts
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy through reconciliation and review
  • Managing financial data accurately in the ERP system (GreenTree)
  • Responsibility for all bank accounts, including cash management and analysis of cash flow
  • Support and oversee outcomes from AP, AR and credit control
  • Contribute to enterprise and financial risk management, implementing robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and assets
  • Operating financial systems and processes efficiently, working as a subject matter expert to continuously improve these – ensuring appropriate accounting internal controls and risk minimisation strategies are in place

The offices are based in the beautiful Downtown Ferry Terminal building, with stunning views. They operate 4 days in the office and 1 day from home each week, with flexible hours.

The Candidate
CA (or equivalent) qualified, ideally you will have financial accounting experience in a medium or large corporation and /or 4+ years in a large CA practice.
  
A process and data excellence mindset are crucial for this hire to support Fullers on their digital journey.
  
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability to change and ability to identify and implement ongoing process improvements are all key. You will be confident liaising with stakeholders at all levels, able to work autonomously, a fast learner and collaborative.
  
Experience with Power BI and/or Power Apps would be advantageous.
